Broadway Bound: Ages 11-18

With our new age split, Broadway Bound students ages 11–18 can dive deeper into the world of musical theatre with a more focused, challenging experience. This performance-based class builds on foundational training in acting, singing, and dancing from our theatre classes at APA, giving students the opportunity to work on two full productions each year. With more advanced material, character work, and stagecraft, older students will take their skills to the next level while collaborating as a cast to create polished, exciting performances. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young performers who are serious about growing their talent and stage presence.Β Β

Behind the Curtain: Ages 11-15

Ever wonder what it takes to bring a show to life?Β Behind the CurtainΒ is a hands-on technical theatre class for students ages 11–15 who want to explore the magic that happens offstage. From directing and stage management to costumes, makeup, lighting, and set design, students will dive into every element that goes into creating a full production.

As part of the experience, students in this class will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with ourΒ Broadway BoundΒ class (ages 7–10) on their spring musical! They’ll help design sets, lights, and costumes, assist with blocking and direction, and take on backstage roles during rehearsals and performances. It’s the perfect way to put new skills into action and see firsthand how technical theatre brings a story to life.
