Dance Instructor
At Academy for the Performing Arts, our instructors do more than teach dance, they inspire confidence, creativity, discipline, and a love for the performing arts in every student who walks through our doors.
We are looking for passionate, positive, and reliable dance instructors who love working with children and want to make a lasting impact in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Whether teaching recreational dancers or more advanced students, our instructors create engaging classes that help students grow both technically and personally.
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly dance classes in a positive and encouraging environment
- Create age-appropriate and engaging lesson plans
- Foster confidence, teamwork, discipline, and creativity in students
- Communicate professionally with staff, students, and families
- Assist with performances, showcases, and studio events
- Arrive prepared, organized, and on time for all classes and rehearsals
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Qualifications
- Dance training and/or teaching experience preferred
- Experience working with children is a plus
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
- Passion for teaching and mentoring young dancers
- Ability to teach multiple styles is a bonus

Preschool for the Arts Teacher
Director Administrative Support
At Academy for the Performing Arts, our Director Administrative Support team member helps keep our programs, events, and daily operations running efficiently behind the scenes. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced studio environment.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys administrative work, takes initiative, and wants to be an active part of a growing performing arts community. This position works closely with studio leadership and plays a key role in supporting our competitive programs, studio operations, and family communication.
Position Details
- Dedicated weekly administrative office hours
- Set weekly in-office schedule
- Year-round position with increased responsibilities during competition and recital season
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to studio directors and leadership team
- Manage spreadsheets, organization systems, and studio databases
- Assist with competition registrations, deadlines, uploads, and communication
- Upload and organize music, routines, schedules, and competition materials
- Support recital, performance, and event preparation
- Assist with Jackrabbit management, reports, and account organization
- Help maintain efficient studio systems and workflows
- Communicate professionally with staff and families as needed
- Handle time-sensitive tasks with urgency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Excel, Google Suite, and organizational systems
- Experience with Jackrabbit or similar studio software preferred
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, proactive, and self-motivated
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Awareness of dance studio operations, competition culture, and seasonal demands preferred
- Previous administrative or studio experience is a plus
