THEATRE CLASSES

Discover the thrill of performing on the stage through the art of acting! Our philosophy is to ignite your imagination and teach you how to become a great actor for the stage by utilizing your body, your voice, your mind, and your heart. We believe that everyone has the potential to grow and become an actor for the stage. We also believe that there are no small parts as we explore the real meaning of “ensemble” and how each person on the stage can contribute to the greatness of a piece of art. Learn how to build confidence with speaking on the stage, building fun and original characters, express ideas and emotions, and tell wonderful stories through skits, scenes, plays, and more!

VOICE CLASSES

Calling all aspiring singers – join us for Voice Class at APA! Instructors will work with you on vocal technique, audition preparation, and performance practices for singers through several genres of music! Do you have experience in dance or theatre at APA? Consider signing up for this voice class to become a more well rounded performer! Singers of all levels are welcome. After participating in this class, you will be a more confident and capable singer. We can’t wait to sing with you!

SUMMER VOICE CLASSES (8-13 yrs)

Price: $110 (1hr) | $150 (2hr)

Voice Audition Prep: Auditions can be scary… in this class series we will conquer the fear and learn everything we need to know to have a successful audition. From picking the right song to making a great a first impression on audition day, students will walk out of class feeling confident and ready!

Show Choir: It’s Showtime! Show Choir time that is! Students will combine singing and choreography to tell a story through songs of various genres such as contemporary pop, musical theater and more! We will discuss vocal technique like breathing, posture, and diction and will gain confidence in performing both medias at the same time! The Choir will perform a concert at the end of our session.

Class Attire: Any moveable clothing, comfortable shoes, hair pulled back.

SUMMER THEATRE CAMP: MATILDA JR! (8-13 yrs)

Price: $279 Members/$299 Non-Members

Yay Broadway! Students will learn and perform part of the Broadway show Matilda Jr. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to dive deeper into learning a role or get experience performing in a musical. Each student will learn one or more characters in the show which we will perform at the end of camp. Auditions will be held on the first day of class so Ms. Roxane can get to know each students talents! Please prepare a short song of any genre for our first class. Full refunds are available through May 31. Starting June 1, account credit will be applied.
