Baked Goods for a Good Cause

I am thrilled to watch our new Performance Group gear up for an exciting season of dancing all over Apex and the surrounding areas. Over the next several months, our new group of dancers will take the stage at various events to entertain all sorts of crowds. Β We’re pinning down dates at nursing homes, children’s hospitals and festivals.

It has always been a priority for the studio to show our appreciation for the support that we have received in our awesome small town. We have always participated in the local parades, arts festivals, school fairs and flash mobs. For years, it has been our competitive company that gets out there and puts on the show, but with a rigorous competition and rehearsal schedule, it has become more and more difficult to find the time to give back to our community. So, this year, we created a group with that sole purpose in mind. This group is made up of 1st-12th graders who have a passion for dance, a love of performing and a desire to give back. Not only will they perform throughout the year, but they will participate in service projects as well.

The first of which was organizing a bake sale to raise money for the Ellie Helton Memorial 5K. The kids advertised, made posters, baked, manned the table, and were able to donate nearly $200 to the organization.

So, be sure to look for the Performance Group around town. We’ll keep you posted about their performances on Facebook.
